Stop by and watch (or join) one of our group classes! CrossFit videos on the internet will scare you away. The first thing you notice when you come in is the different skill levels of each participant, yet everyone is working out together and supporting one another. Once you realize you want to become a member, you will be required to take a Group Basics Class, Four 1 on 1 Personal Training Sessions or a ‘Test Out’.
Group Basics Class
This program introduces a new member to the concepts and fundamental movements of CrossFit. This program consists of 6 hours over the course of 2 days.
The movement curriculum is sequential and attendance to all sessions is fundamental to your gaining the necessary proficiency and preparation for our group classes. During the class we will learn a little more about you, your personal goals, current health or concerns. Once we have some understanding of your needs, we can help you achieve your goals.
Please understand that all movements have modifications and we are happy to work with all abilities. We’ll also introduce you to our way of eating and nutrition concepts to maximize results!
You will be working out at each session.
‘I don’t need the Basics classes’
If you have done CrossFit before and are familiar with the movements you can skip the Basics class by doing a Test Out. This can be done with 1, 1-on-1 assessment session. Scheduled by appointment only.
At your assessment, you will be required to perform the following 9 movements proficiently and narrate their primary points of performance: 9 Foundational movements; squat, front squat, over-head squat, dead lift, sumo deadlift high pull, clean, shoulder press, push press, push jerk…as well as the back squat, the clean & jerk and the snatch.
